2023 was an incredible year for us. We are so grateful for all your continued support and contribution. We look forward to another successful year in 2024. We already have so much planned.
We started 2023 with a sanitary product drive in partnership with ‘BALANCE Charity Foundation’. We collected 180 packets of pads which were donated to Frida Hartley Foundation in Johannesburg, many more packets were donated to Sisters Incorporated in Cape Town.
In March, we made and donated 80 sandwiches to the homeless community in Cape Town and in May We made and donated 216 sandwiches to the homeless community in Johannesburg.
In June, we partnered with Rays of Hope Foundation to donate winter clothing and blankets to underprivileged families in Alex, Johannesburg.
Our biggest event of the year was our Race a cause event which took play in August 2023. During the month of August, we held our annual virtual race where participants chose a distance and ran it over the month of August. This year, we added an exciting addition. We hosted an in-person race on the 6th of August in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. This was a 5KM walk/run at a park. All the money raised was used to buy food hampers filled with non-perishable food items. 45 food hampers were donated to Rays of Hope and another 21 were donated to the Restoring Hope Foundation.
